My mate Rodney and I went to Kaikoura (1992) one long weekend to visit my friend Delwyn.

While there she suggested we go for a swim with the Dusky dolphins... so we did.

After suiting up we took the Shuttle bus to the boat and we were off. I can say it was an exhilarating experience. First we had to find the pod of dolphins (which didn't take long) and then get in front of them. We were given the word to get into the water. It didn't take long before we were surrounded by these amazing creatures. The dolphins playfully come right up to you and after seeing the baby dolphins... well... they're just sooo cute.

I must say that anyone 'umming' and 'erring' about trying it.... JUST DO IT!!!

It's something you will just never forget.
